3.7 Promotion and Publicity
Each community will prepare a promotional
document in the form of a flyer or brochure
that outlines and promotes the dates of
their event, the site name, location
address, phone number, tour time,
description of site, tour and activity
details gathered from the Site Registration
Form. This flyer or brochure must also
include logo recognition for Doors Open
Alberta and the Heritage Community
Foundation; and list the doorsopenalberta.ca website. It is
recommended that each site be provided with
outdoor signage, this can be as simple or as
fancy as you can afford.
Submit your event and site information to
the Heritage Community Foundation for
posting to the doorsopenalberta.ca website 6 weeks
prior to your event. Submit all Doors
Open information including photos to updates@doorsopenalberta.ca. Be sure to
include:
- Doors Open event dates and description
- Each Site Name, location address, phone
number, tour time, description of site (50
word maximum), tour and activity details,
and site photo.
- Photos must be submitted
by mail or digital images (jpeg) by email.
- The Heritage Community Foundation reserves
the right to edit the submitted information
for content and length and may restrict the
number of images featured on the website due
to space availability. Submitted photos will
not be returned. The Foundation assumes no
liability for errors or omissions in any
materials or on the Doors Open website.
