Organize an Event

Doors Open Alberta encourages communities throughout Alberta to showcase their architectural heritage by hosting one or two day events that invite visitors to participate in free tours of architecturally interesting buildings and places of significance to your region. This section of the website  supports these efforts and provides assistance to organize local community Doors Open Alberta events. 

Standards pertaining to event planning, communications materials and other elements that brand  Doors Open Alberta have been established by the Doors Open Alberta Steering Committee. All of the guidelines and forms are posted in the Guidelines and Forms section and are downloadable for your convenience. 

Review the guidelines, complete the application and budget and submit to the Heritage Community Foundation by February 1.  We are available to assist your community in organizing and hosting a Doors Open event.  Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
